Behind the scenes on Strictly…
Is glorious. I couldn’t ask to be with a nicer bunch of people. We’ve got a WhatsApp group where we message daily to give each other advice and encouragement. It’s a place to vent, but it’s also a place to give love and hugs! The fear is immense and it’s a reminder you’re not going through it alone.
My pre-show confidence trick is…
To watch the video my husband Paul send me of our little bot saying, “Good luck, Mummy, you’re the best.” I also take along any good luck cards I’ve been sent.
Funniest moment in sequins?
Learning to go to the toilet once I’d been sewn into my sequins! At first, I was like, “You want me to what?” There’s a whole technique you have to master – it’s hilarious.
Most embarrassing real-life dance floor moment?
Back in June, we were in this tiny room for my friend’s 40th birthday party and it was so hot that she had a big fan blowing forward on the dance floor. I was in a 70s-style dress with big sleeves and as I stood in front of it, the dress was going everywhere – it was like my own pop video!
A night out with Kevin would be spent…
At the pub. He’d have a pint and I’d have a glass of red or a gin and tonic. I’m hungry all the time now too so we’d have a hearty meal and a good natter.
Strictly Come Dancing is on BBC One on Saturday and Sunday evenings.
