Kate Garraway reveals why her daughter is planning vow renewal to husband Derek Draper

Good Morning Britain host, Kate Garraway, is set to walk down the aisle again after fifteen years of marriage.

After her stint in the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! jungle last year, Kate's husband Derek Draper was so "overwhelmed" with adoration for his wife that he popped the question again.

And Kate, 52, has since revealed their 13-year-old daughter Darcey is in charge of planning the vow renewal.

She told Prima, "'We’re going to have a second wedding and Darcey’s going to plan the whole thing. She’s 13, so it could be very interesting, but we’ll see.

"I think she will probably want me to look like Kendall Jenner on the day which is going to be tough… I would love to look like Kendall Jenner as well, so good luck with that!"

Despite Derek's best intentions, his romantic proposal didn't go exactly to plan after he felt too "overwhelmed" with emotion when she left the jungle.

Kate told You magazine, “When Derek came to meet me after I left the jungle, he was planning to propose to me again [with the ring, in front of the TV cameras], but he got overwhelmed and burst into tears.”

Much to the dissappointment of their two children - according to Kate. “The kids leapt out and surprised me and Darcey said, ‘Oh Dad – you didn’t do it!’"

They say distance makes the heart grow fonder and that was certainly the case for Derek and Kate as he gushed about falling in love with her all over again.

On her jungle stay, he said, "She was literally a superhero! She's doing brilliant... you know how lovely and strong she is - I think that's coming across. That’s what people are seeing."

Not only has it rekindled their marriage, but the show has transformed Kate's life in many other ways.

"My system has been given a massive jolt since being on the show," she added. "I’ve been reminded of the important things, such as friends and family.

"It made me realise that actually being a bit braver sometimes, and allowing myself to be a bit scared isn’t the end of the world."
