You might know him best as diet and fitness guru ‘The Body Coach’ – but it’s reported that Joe Wicks is about to try his hand at dancing instead, as he is apparantly the latest confirmed famous face to join this year’s Strictly line-up!
A week ago, Matt Goss, from boyband Bros, was the first celebrity confirmed to join this year’s show.
A source told The Daily Star that Strictly bosses are keen to get some eye candy on the show this year, saying, “They reckon he will be the hunkiest contestant to appear on the show. He would certainly get the ratings up – especially in the costumes they have planned for him.
“There will be a lot of flesh on show, that’s for sure.”
The source continued, “Joe would be perfect on Strictly. The bosses have been eager to make sure he signs the deal as soon as possible.”
The surprising news comes just a few days after Joe himself stated that he didn’t have time to appear on the show, after being questioned by Ayda Field on Loose Women.
Joe appeared taken aback at Ayda’s questioning, asking “How do you know about that? Who told you I was asked about that?”
But at the time, the fitness star seemed to rule it out as an option for this year at least, saying “I mean, I was asked [but] it’s not something I want to do right now.
“But who knows in the future?”
He continued to explain how busy his social media and fitness career is keeping him, saying “I’m too focused on doing what I’m doing with the online stuff and the workouts.
“I’ve got so much to do and that is a massive time commitment doing that. At the moment I’m just going to stick to what I do which is getting everyone leaner.”
But despite that, Joe actually did mention to The Sun that it would be something he’d like to do, if he could clear the time in his busy schedule.

At the National Television Awards in January, he said, “They have asked and I’d love to do it but I’m so busy so I’m trying to clear up the time.
“We’ll see but I have my fingers crossed that I can make it work.”
So might Joe be swapping trainers for spandex? We’ll have to wait and see. But it’s looking more likely than ever before…
