Last week, at a champagne breakfast attended by new Oris ambassadors the Hemsley sisters and the most notable names in the industry, the Eve’s Watch Awards took place for a second year running.
The Awards, which were set up by Larissa and Jane Trew to celebrate women’s watches, were held in a gorgeous room at private-members club Mortons, with views over London’s famous Berkeley Square.
Taking home two of 13 prestigious trophies was Chanel – for Best Design (luxury) and Luxury Brand of the Year – while Gucci was awarded in three categories, including Brand of the Year (under £2,000) and Best Fashion Watch.
Omega, Audemars Piguet and Dior also took home awards.
One of the most hotly contested awards was in the Popular Choice categories. Through Time Inc’s roster of magazines, including Woman & Home, the public were asked to vote for their watch of the year. TAG Heuer was the winner in the luxury category, while Michael Kors took the under £2,000 top spot.
