How to watch Survivor season 43 from anywhere in the world
The latest season of Survivor just kicked off on a remote island in Fiji
Season 43 of Survivor officially premiered on CBS earlier this week, starring 18 contestants as they try to, well, survive in the wilderness for the chance to win a $1 million prize.
For the eleventh consecutive season, filming took place in Fiji, the island country in Melanesia. Specifically, the players took up residence in the wilderness of the Mamanuca Islands.
The two-hours-long premiere that just aired this week will be followed by weekly one-hour episodes that are scheduled to air on CBS every Wednesday evening at 8pm EST with Jeff Probst serving as the host.
WHAT IS SURVIVOR ABOUT?
Survivor is an American reality competition series inspired by the eponymous international franchise (which was actually inspired by a Swedish show called Expedition Robinson). The series premiered to much fanfare on CBS back in May of 2000 and it has already been renewed for a 44th season.
The premise is a relatively simple one: a group of strangers is asked to live in a remote location for some time, where they have to procure themselves food, shelter and fire while competing in a number of challenges that might potentially grant them immunity from elimination.
Each week, the contestants vote each other off, until one final "sole survivor" is left standing.
WHO ARE THE CONTESTANTS ON SURVIVOR SEASON 43?
Season 43 of Survivor stars 18 different contestants from all walks of life that are split into three groups that are referred to as "tribes" on the show. The affiliations include Baka, Coco and Vesi.

HOW TO WATCH SURVIVOR SEASON 43 FROM THE U.S.
Filming for the latest batch of episodes of Survivor kicked off in May 2022 and, due to COVID-19-related vaccination requirements, the experience lasted a total of 26 days (seasons are usually longer).
Fans can catch new episodes live on Wednesday nights at 8pm EST on CBS. The CBS website will also stream each new episode live.
Another option is to catch season 43 of Survivor on Paramount Plus, where each episode will be available for streaming the day after it premieres. The platform is currently offering a free 7-day Paramount Plus trial. A monthly membership will cost you $4.99 after that.
