Oh, and Dame Maggie Smith is back with her signature sass, which was one of our personal favourite parts of the entire series. Who doesn’t love the Dowager Countess of Grantham?
The film is distributed by Focus Features, who are all set to release Downton Abbey, the movie, on the 13th September in the UK, with other parts of the world getting it from the 19th onwards.
With original Downton Abbey series director Michael Engler attached to the project, we’re confident it will live up to our expectations.
Personally, we're going to be first in line for this one if we can help it. Are you looking forward to it?
We can't wait!
