Nigella Lawson and Alison Hammond both wore our favourite British clothing brand on last night’s Bake Off

It wasn’t just the delicious biscuits that caught our attention on last night’s episode of The British Bake Off, as the presenters also piqued our interest with their colourful style.
Alison Hammond and Nigella Lawson both relied on high street store Boden, with Nigella opting for the Stamford linen blazer in spearmint green. She dressed it down by wearing the matching waistcoat, which is traditionally a layering piece, as a standalone top, creating a beautifully flattering neckline, which felt a little more casual than if it had been worn over a blouse or button-up shirt.
Alison too blurred the lines between smart and casual, pairing the Tulle Tiered Skirt with a structured denim top. The two pieces bounced off each other beautifully, with the dainty polka dots and floaty fabric contrasting with her choice of dark denim.

Nigella's Boden blazer is crafted from linen, which gives the classic tailoring a slightly laid-back finish and brings a beautiful texture to its spearmint blue hue. As for the cut, you get a semi-fitted, simple-breasted shape with a revere collar finishing off the piece with a neat and clean flair.
While this Hobbs blazer is more on the powder blue side than Nigella's is, like hers, it blends the brightness of the colour with a pastel twist that makes it feel very wearable. The cut is also incredibly similar - it's neat, sharp and unfussy.
Whether worn on its own or layered over a shirt, a waistcoat can work to bring a smart touch to casual outfits and occasion wear in autumn. The tonal buttons are a beautifully sleek finishing touch.
