The Sunday trading hours were extended during the Olympics and there’s been talk of making it permanent. However, Sainsbury’s chief executive Justin King says longer hours won’t necessarily boost our economy, and maintaining Sunday’s special status is good for both customers and those who work in retail.
What do you think? Few of us want to return to the days when everything shut down on Sunday, and with most of us working it would be terrible to have to cram every bit of shopping into one day again.
