Coleen Nolan famously had a break from ITV's Loose Women after the singer and TV presenter had a showdown with Kim Woodburn, but now the star is back.
The former Nolan’s singer made her come back to the show this afternoon, after hinting at a TV comeback with cryptic tweets on her social media profile.
She joined fellow hosts Ruth Langsford, Janet Street-Porter and Jane Moore as they covered topics such as ‘Should teachers get Christmas gifts?’ and talked about the latest ‘I’m A Celebrity’ gossip.
As Coleen made her entrance to the show the audience members chanted her name and gave her a standing ovation. As she sat down she said, “It was very nice but don’t make me cry. Everyone’s been great. It really is like coming home. It’s so Christmassy!”
The former host left the ITV series after her and fellow CBB contestant Kim Woodburn had a a public showdown live on air. Just days after the argument on the ITV show in September, Coleen announced via Twitter that she was taking a break from the show.
A statement from her team at the time said: “Following the constant online bullying, trolling, and misrepresentation of her words, actions and re-actions, it is with sad regret that Coleen is taking an immediate hiatus from all her current commitments including Loose Women and postponing her Never Too Late solo concert tour.
“Coleen has spent 50 years in show-business and 18 years as one of the most loved members of the Loose Women panel, and has never been subjected to such a horrifying torrent of online abuse or such a heart-breaking attack on her reputation.
The statement continued saying, ‘Coleen is devastated to let her supporters and fans down, but is currently not strong enough to withstand this constant and unfounded online abuse, so she will be taking time out and spending it with her children and family where she feels loved and respected.’
Earlier this week Coleen had revealed a series of cryptic tweets about a possible come back. She posted a GIF of a TV countdown, which got her fans excited.
Then this morning she posted a Wizard of Oz GIF which said, ‘There is no place like home.’
Her fans were delighted with her comeback, with one saying via Twitter, ‘So pleased to see lovely @NolanColeen back today. I have missed her. Welcome back Coleen.’
