Anton Du Beke Announces Surprising News - And It's Not About Dancing!

By Amy Hunt
Strictly Come Dancing legend Anton Du Beke has revealed some very exciting careers news - and fans will be intrigued to know that it actually has nothing to do with his legendary moves on the dance-floor.
Ruth Langsford's professional partner on the show had been teasing the news for just under a week, tweeting last Friday to share "I have something very exciting coming very soon. I can't wait to tell you what it is!"
But lucky for fans, they didn't have to wait too long to discover what Anton's top secret news was. Live on Good Morning Britain, the dance superstar revealed that he would soon be releasing his debut album!
Speaking about the news, he revealed that singing has always been a dream of his, and that singing live on Strictly with Bruce Forsyth was one of the most treasured moments of his career.
He admitted "To have the opportunity to do something like that with your hero - Brucie was completely my hero - it was the greatest moment I've ever had on telly.
"I don't get really nervous - that was the only time I got nervous. I was standing in the wings doing that thing all the celebrities doing where I was ‘I can't remember my steps and I can't remember my words!'"
Writing about the release of the album on his Twitter afterwards, he also revealed that it will be named, ‘From The Top', in homeage to the age-old showbiz saying.
"I am thrilled to announce my debut album! 'From The Top' will be out on November 24th. Pre-order it now: https://AntonDuBeke.lnk.to/FromTheTopTW #FromTheTop"

Fans were thrilled by the surprising announcement, with many excitedly responding to his social media message.
One follower wrote, "This just made my Tuesday so much better.", while another said, "On my Christmas shopping list #loveanton"
A third fan also said, "Annnnnnd there's £15 going out of my bank account! Worth it."
In his announcement, Anton revealed that there will be a mix of old and new songs on the album, and also revealed the track-list in a separate video.
It'll feature classics including ‘Putting On The Ritz', ‘Rain On My Parade', ‘Moon River' and ‘Fly Me To The Moon', but also features a few surprising tunes too.
Anton will be offering up his rendition of the Arctic Monkey's ‘Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor', and will be singing us into Christmas with ‘It's The Most Wondeful Time Of The Year', too.
Anton's album, From The Top, will be out on November 24th. We can't wait to hear it!
