Celebrities were out in force last night for a new exhibit at the Warner Brothers Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter. The tour is opening a brand new Dark Arts section this month, and last night’s unveiling saw celebrities including Jonathan Ross, Amanda Holden, Simon Pegg, Mary Berry, Kirstie Allsopp and Strictly’s Jake Wood walk the VIP green carpet with their families.
Although the books and movies ended a few years ago, Warner Brothers’ Studio Tours work hard at keeping the magic alive. Kirstie Allsopp revealed that her children read Harry Potter at least twice a week and the event was a great way to bring the wizarding world to life.
Mary Berry embraced the world of Harry Potter as she sat sipping tea from a china cup in the office of Dolores Umbridge, all while wearing a pink cardigan eerily familiar to that of the character herself. She also cast her eye over the tour’s Halloween feast complete with a huge carrot cake and other delicious treats.
Not to be left behind, Amanda Holden was eager to get acquainted with the 12-foot snake Nagini was modeled on. Although she lost her nerve when challenged to a wand duel by one of the many Death Eaters roaming the event.
The Harry Potter Studio Tour’s new Dark Arts section is hosting special interactive activities from Friday 17th October to Monday 3rd November. For tickets, visit www.wbstudiotour.co.uk/
