  • 2tbsp soy sauce
  • 2tsp sesame oil
  • 2tsp sugar
  • 4 sustainably caught tuna steak

This is thanks to the fact that tuna is packed with essential omega-3 fatty acids that help to reduce the omega-3 fatty acids and cholesterol in the arteries and blood vessels.

Tuna is also packed with protein, which is what helps fill you up and provide essential minerals for growth and repair in the body.

Whipping up a delicious marinade is what really gives this dish extra flavour though, as the lovely mix of Asian flavours in the hoisin sauce, soy sauce and sesame oil bring out a delicious sweet flavour and goes really well when served up with a pile of fresh green vegetables.

HOW TO MAKE STICKY HOISIN TUNA

  1. Combine all the marinade ingredients in a non-metallic bowl and coat the tuna well. Marinate for at least an hour, or up to overnight.
  2. When ready to serve, remove the tuna from the marinade and shake off the excess. Cook on the barbecue for 3 minutes on each side, which will give you medium-rare. Serve with green vegetables, with soy and toasted sesame seeds scattered over.
