Jane Eyre
At last! Moira Buffini's screenplay of Charlotte Brontë's Jane Eyre is opening at cinemas nationwide. Up-and-coming Mia Wasikowska (Alice in Wonderland) takes the lead in what is an impressive portrayal of the timid young governess, who falls in love with her employer, Mr Rochester.
Since opening in the US, this adaptation has proved popular with audiences, with many labeling Mia as the best Jane Eyre to date. Mr Rochester is played by Michael Fassbender, who gives an equally powerful portrayal of the man with secrets to bare.
Further stars studding the cast include Dame Judi Dench, Sally Hawkins and Jamie Bell.
