Saira Khan has revealed her trust issues from working in television after personal information about her was leaked to the media this week.

The former Loose Women host, who officially quit the show last month, took to Instagram to vent her anger - and to share some words of warning with her 93k followers.

“My biggest and saddest lesson working in telly: trust no one except a very tiny minority,” she advised.

Although she did not accuse anyone in particular, Khan hinted at a betrayal in her short video. “Can someone please tell me how personal information gets leaked to newspapers? Unless someone is leaking information to them?” she asked.

The 50-year-old Apprentice star continued to vent her frustrations, claiming, “This industry needs to grow up.”

“They will sell you every day to get their headlines,” she said. “PR. Sound bites and ratings. You give them your life, they give you clickbait.”

Khan’s rant comes just days after she publicly unfollowed and blocked Loose Women hosts Nadia Sawalha and Kaye Adams. Her on-set conflicts were exposed during an interview with Celebrity Skin host Scott McGlynn when she admitted she only ‘tolerated’ some of her former co-workers

“You make friends with some people, you tolerate some people and some people you just have to do a job with,” she said.

After the stress of the last month, which included a controversial resignation and a leg injury, Khan has been vocal about the importance of self-care.

As well as adhering to a regular workout routine, the mum-of-two is practicing meditation and mindfulness as a tool to overcome her stress.

“I need to remind myself of the importance of recognizing when I’m getting stressed, when I’m feeling overpowered, and the pressure, to remove myself from that situation, sit down, close my eyes, take that breath, and relax, and then go back into it,” she told her fans in an Instagram story yesterday.

Khan has also been releasing toxicity from her life by letting go of past relationships in a positive way. In a recent Instagram story, she described her philosophy towards cutting ties with a quote from late rapper Tupac:

“Just because you lost me as a friend doesn’t mean you gained me as an enemy.”
