The Queen has praised a talented royal fan's woolly replica of Sandringham House


The Queen has sent her congratulations to a royal fan who paid her the ultimate architectural tribute—recreating Sandringham Estate from wool.

Talented craftswoman Margaret Seaman received a royal stamp of approval from the Queen today after unveiling her knitted model of Sandringham Estate in Norwich.
Her Majesty took to Twitter to commend the breathtaking design, which took two years to finish, writing, "Congratulations to 92-year-old Margaret on completing a remarkable knitted recreation of Sandringham House and Estate!"

The wooly replica of the Queen's private residence features all the details of the life-sized version, including the red brick mansion, flowery gardens, and tranquil lakes. The church, where Christmas services are held annually for the Royal Family, as well as the luxurious horse stables, were also recreated. Margaret even threaded up a few knitted figurines, adding a playful dollhouse-vibe to the impressive artwork.
The great-great-grandmother, who lives in Great Yarmouth, started knitting after the grief of losing her husband. Little did she know at the time, her newfound hobby would unravel into a mammoth passion project. The 18x6ft creation, which will go on display in the Ballroom at Sandringham House on 17 July, has earned Margaret strong praise from royal fans and fellow crafters alike.

Margaret's fantastic model is also for a good cause, raising money for three Norfolk hospitals. Visitors to the exhibition will have the opportunity to make a donation while they admire the fluffy masterpiece in all its glory.
