The 95-year-old monarch hosted two virtual audiences from Windsor Castle on Tuesday morning, marking her return to royal engagements since recovering from Covid-19.
Appearing on a laptop screen, Her Majesty received Chad's ambassador to the United Kingdom, Kedella Younous Hamid, as well as Angola's ambassador, Carles Jordana Madero. She wore a green dress adorned by a brooch and a pearl necklace, along with a light dab of pink lipstick, for the remote meeting.
The Head of State was 'feeling well enough' to conduct the engagements, according to Buckingham Palace.
It was confirmed that the Queen had Covid on Sunday, 20 February, less than two weeks after her eldest son, Prince Charles, tested positive for the virus. She immediately entered self-isolation at her Berkshire residence, where she continued to undertake 'light duties'. It's understood that the sovereign, who has been vaccinated and boosted, suffered from 'mild, cold-like symptoms', including a 'croaky voice'.
Her Majesty reportedly got the all-clear from coronavirus at the weekend, shortly after she canceled her upcoming annual Diplomatic Reception on advice from the Foreign Office. The Queen celebrated her Covid recovery with a family reunion at Frogmore, which was attended by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Princess Eugenie.
