Strictly Come Dancing’s Jamie Laing reacts to replacement Kelvin Fletcher being crowned winner

Strictly Come Dancing has crowned its winner!
The BBC dancing competition aired its 2019 final last night and Emmerdale actor Kelvin Fletcher was crowned the champion.
Kelvin and professional dancing partner Oti Mabuse wowed judges and viewers with three dances – their rumba to Ain’t No Sunshine, a showdance routine “without rules” and finally their first week samba.
The pair battled it out against CBBC’s Karim Zeroual and his dancing partner Amy Dowden and EastEnders actress Emma Barton alongside her professional partner Anton Du Beke.

"I am absolutely speechless,” Kelvin said of the win. “I did not expect that, it's just been such a privilege to be here."
‘Humbled Elated Honoured,’ he added on Twitter.
‘Thank you for your votes 👍 Thank you to my family ❤️ Thank you to @OtiMabuse
‘And a massive thank you to #Strictly for the opportunity 🏆
‘Team #Floti 💃🕺did it! 😀 #StrictlyFinal WINNERS 2019 🎉’.
However, winner Kelvin wasn’t originally supposed to be in the show, with Made in Chelsea’s Jamie Laing being cast to join the competition instead.
However, the reality star ended up pulling out of the show (opens in new tab) after he sustaining an injury.
Jamie injured his foot while he was recording the launch show, leading to Kelvin being called up to take part instead.

And Jamie has now spoken out about the win, congratulating the soap star on his accomplishment.
‘Congratulations to @kelvin_fletcher and @OtiMabuse you guys rocked it!!’ he wrote on Twitter, quipping, ‘Thank god for my broken foot #StrictlyFinal’.
Jamie opened up about the injury back in October during an episode of his reality show Made in Chelsea.
Speaking to fellow cast member Alex Mytton, he said, “Basically, you have this muscle in your foot, right, which is called the plantar fascia.
“It’s the main muscle in your foot and I’ve torn it.”
“I’m sorry,” responded Alex, “but was your dance good?”
“Mate, yes, it was unbelievable,” Jamie said back, joking, “I heard them whispering, they were like ‘Is that Billy Elliot?’”
