In a recent interview, Brad Pitt opened up about his struggles with undiagnosed prosopagnosia, and spoke candidly about his life and career.

In an interview with GQ, Brad Pitt spoke honestly about his struggles with prosopagnosia, which is commonly known as 'face blindness.' While he has not been officially diagnosed with this disorder, the GQ interviewer, Ottessa Moshfegh, explained that Brad expressed shame because of this issue, as he is concerned that he comes across as 'self-absorbed' when he cannot recognize people.

"Pitt has talked in the past about a curious problem he has in social settings, especially at parties. He struggles to remember new people, to recognize their faces, and he fears it’s led to a certain impression of him: that he’s remote and aloof, inaccessible, self-absorbed. But the truth is, he wants to remember the people he meets and he’s ashamed that he can’t," said Ottessa.

When the interviewer divulged that her husband suffers from the same problem, Brad responded excitedly, "Nobody believes me!" he then added, "I wanna meet another [person with the disorder]."

Opening up to GQ about other aspects of his life, Brad spoke about the aftermath of his divorce from Angelina Jolie. While the topic of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's six children did not appear in the interview, Brad did open up about the importance of his family.

Brad revealed that he had always felt lonely growing up, but now spent more time with his family and friends to combat this problem.

"I always felt very alone in my life." He explained, "alone growing up as a kid, alone even out here, and it’s really not till recently that I have had a greater embrace of my friends and family."

Brad also spoke candidly about working to get sober and attending Alcoholics Anonymous for 18 months following his divorce.

Speaking about the importance of privacy at this time, Brad said, "I had a really cool men’s group here that was really private and selective, so it was safe," he said. "Because I’d seen things of other people who had been recorded while they were spilling their guts, and that’s just atrocious to me."

Brad also revealed that while he has had an enviable career, and is known as one of the great actors in Hollywood, he feels as though he is slowing down as the years pass.

"I consider myself on my last leg," he revealed. "This last semester or trimester. What is this section gonna be? And how do I wanna design that?"

Only recently, Brad Pitt appeared in a number of fantastic films, and as of 2022, he is confirmed to appear in six new films which have yet to be released. This includes  Bullet Train and Babylon. Brad is also working behind the scenes to produce She Said, a film about Harvey Weinstein's sexual abuse, and a Marilyn Monroe biopic titled Blonde.
