Feeling stressed and angry? When we are under stress, our adrenal glands require the right nutrients to function at their best. Protect your body from stress with plenty of vitamin C-rich foods – your adrenals store and use vast amounts of vitamin C and magnesium. Add in plenty of antioxidant vitamin C-rich cherries or strawberries and a spoonful of superfood goji berries, plus the handful of spinach leaves provides B vitamins and magnesium, which are essential for adrenal health.

Keep your blood sugar balanced by including some healthy fat and protein with the addition of avocado. You could also add a scoop of protein powder for further blood sugar support. Adding protein prevents a dip in energy levels, stopping you from feeling irritable, moody and ready to explode. For a super calming boost, switch the water for cold chamomile tea.

This Nutribullet smoothie couldn’t be easier to make and within minutes you can have a really tasty, filling and healthy breakfast of afternoon snack. Make this smoothie any time of the day and you can either use fresh or frozen fruit. You can use whatever you’ve got at home, whether it’s blueberries, raspberries or strawberries, they all taste great and if they’re frozen, they add a little extra texture and make it taste super fresh.
