Harry and Meghan's Archewell Podcast has reached number two on Spotify's chart and treats us to a little message from Archie (opens in new tab).

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex released their anticipated Archewell podcast on the 29th of December to Spotify. Like many of the Royals (opens in new tab), they are taking advantage of their reach on social media.

The podcast special was an effort to bring a bit of hope to the start of the year and features talks and anecdotes with special guests and even a little cameo from Archie (opens in new tab)himself.

It had a slow climb up the charts after being beaten by sleep sounds, which is understandable due to the state of the world.

Now, however, it has reached number two on Spotify's chart.

Spotify reportedly paid $25 million for it, news that follows Harry and Meghan signing a multi-million dollar Netflix deal too. The Archewell special is described by Meghan as a way to “bring together some people that inspire us—people that we admire—and get their thoughts on what they learned from 2020."

They began the podcast by paying tribute to frontline workers and remembering those who lost their lives to coronavirus.

Harry commented that “we really want to honor the compassion and kindness that has helped so many people get through it.” Meghan continued “At the same time, to honor those who have experienced uncertainty and unthinkable loss, our thoughts have been with you, especially during this holiday season. … We also want to thank health care workers, frontline service workers, and so many others for their sacrifices.”

Guests include James Corden, Elton John, Naomi Osaka, Tyler Perry, and Deepak Chopra. The guest that delighted fans the most, however, was the little cameo by Archie Himself. He wished everyone a happy, giggly new year and debuted his adorable American accent.

The podcast ended with a message from the couple claiming that “love always wins.” A positive mantra we can all agree with.
