The Duke and Duchess of Sussex share supportive message for The Queen

This is sweet!

To celebate The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh’s 72nd wedding anniversary, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared a sweet message on their Instagram.

Sharing a throwback photo of the Queen and Prince Philip, Sussex Royal wrote on behalf of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, ‘Happy anniversary to Her Majesty The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh!

'On this day, seventy-two years ago, they were married at Westminster Abbey. Many congratulations!’

Their comments were flooded with supportive comments, with lots of fans quick to wish the royal couple a happy anniversary.

One comment read, ‘Seventy-two years! That’s quite an achievement 👏🏻🖤 Congratulations!’

Another commented on the resemblance between Prince Harry and his grandfather, writing, ‘The Duke looks a lot like Prince Harry in this picture!’

And a third said, ‘Happiest wishes to her Majesty the Queen and to HRH the Duke of Edinburgh’

The Queen and Prince Philip married in 1947 at Westminster Abbey, and have four children together. They have eight grandchildren, all of which are now active members of the royal family.

Kensington Royal also shared a message from the Queen’s grandson Prince William, and the Duchess of Cambridge. They uploaded two pictures of the royal couple, one throwback and one more recent.

They wrote, ‘Wishing Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh a very happy 72nd Wedding Anniversary!’

Recently, it was confirmed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex won’t be spending Christmas with the Queen at Sandringham this year.

Instead, they’ll be having a different kind of Christmas celebration over in America, alongside son Archie.

We're still hoping for a cute family Christmas card though...
