Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall has given fans an insight into her home decor at Clarence House as she marks the start of her Reading Room project.

The rare glimpse has drummed up excitement for the upcoming book season, as fans can't wait to see what's in store.

The Duchess, who lives at Clarence House with husband Prince Charles shared the photograph on her social media, the snap is captioned, 'Season One of The Reading Room launches on Friday. Join us to find out which books The Duchess has chosen!'

But aside from the anticipation over the book choices, fans are praising how beautiful the image is.

One fan issued the compliment, 'What a beautiful picture! The Duchess looks so beautiful and dignified. So excited for Friday and very much looking forward to reading some more books.'

Another fan said, 'Stunning portrait of a beautiful lady!'

And a third added, 'Lovely picture of the Duchess. Very excited waiting to see the list of books. Thank you for your time and thoughtfulness on this project.'

While many love seeing Camilla look relaxed, eagle-eyed fans can get an insight into what the Duchess' interior taste is like, as she sits on an embossed green velvet chair in the warmly lit garden room of the London property.

It is understood she is reading a book while the photographer, Jennifer Pattison, captures the picture.

Dressed in a crisp white blouse with a black waistcoat over the top, in the background of Camilla's snap, a few books can be seen piled up, as well as the outline of a window.

No doubt other lavish rooms will be featured in the project as she reveals new clips from the book club in the coming weeks.
