Britney Spears has shared new photos from her 'fairytale wedding' in May, much to the excitement of her adoring fans.
The US popstar took to Instagram to post new pictures from her summer nupitals and to update her followers on her upcoming travel adventures.
Britney, 40, married Sam Asghari, 28, in an intimate ceremony at her Californian mansion on June 9, nine months after she first announced their engagement to the world. The special union was witnessed by a whole host of the Toxic singer's celebrity friends, including Drew Barrymore and Paris Hilton, as well her wedding dress designer, Donatella Versace.
"Guys just two months ago I got married," Britney told her 41m Instagram followers yesterday. "Can you believe it???"
The Grammy-award winner went on to share three photos from the 'special' day, including one of the impressive dance floors at her 'fairytale wedding'. The wide shot reveals an illuminated floor, cushy white sofas, candlelit coffee tables, an altar of pink roses and a ceiling draped with plush curtains and majestic chandeliers.
It's understood that the romantic reception, which was reportedly held in the same tent as the wedding ceremony, was attended by just 60 guests. Britney's immediate family members, including her parents Jamie and Lynn Spears and her younger sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, were not invited to the event. The American superstar's two sons from her second marriage to Kevin Federline, Sean Preston and Jayden James, were also absent.
Britney also showed fans a picture of her "special car", before thanking Drew Barrymore, Selena Gomez, Paris Hilton and Madonna (with whom she reenacted that famous VMA kiss) "surprising" her on her big day. The photo shows the white Rolls Royce that whisked the newly weds away after the celebrations, complete with pink roses and a 'Just Married!' sign. Britney also gave a special shoutout to Selena, whom she says told her "all she wants is for me to be happy 3 times!" In the final image on the carousal, the Same Old Lover singer can be seen staring directly at the camera with what appears to be a small doll in her mouth.
Britney also shared her plans to vacation at Disneyland 'soon', calling the popular tourist attraction her "happy place." It remains unclear whether she'll be visiting California or the Florida park, but with her current postcode so close to Los Angeles, we can probably assume she'll be sticking with the West Coast option.
