Daytime TV host Lorraine Kelly has been keeping her fans updated with the decorative flourishes she’s been adding to her Buckinghamshire home via social media since moving in earlier this year.
The 59-year-old – who relocated to the property after downsizing from her home in Dundee – has shared some stunning style snaps of individual rooms in her new abode.
Mixing cosy with country and throwing in a dash of glam for good measure, Lorraine certainly knows how to create an inviting space.
And now the latest Instagram post offering a window into her home, has got fans talking for an entirely different reason.
Sharing a picture of the family Christmas tree adorned with fake snow and over-sized Christmas decorations, Lorraine revealed a sweet detail about who fashioned the angel on top of the tree.
She wrote, ‘Fairy on top of my tree! Made by my daughter Rosie at Herries Nursery in Cookham when she was 2.’
Fans reacted to the revelation about her the star’s lookalike daughter – who is now aged 23 – in their droves, with the post attracting more than 4,000 likes.
One wrote, ‘My Mum still puts the fairy on top of the tree that I made at first year of Brownies, I am now in my mid thirties so it is surviving ok. So pleased to see so many other Mums keeping hold of such precious keepsakes.’
While another one reminisced, ‘I have one on our tree too Lorraine, made by our daughter Gemma in reception class at primary school. She’s 30 now! It always has to have a place near the top. Too precious not to use.’
A third added, ‘An angel created by your own 2year old child is worth more to you than any shop bought item, which I completely appreciate.’
Do you have any Christmas mementos from your children that you’ve kept?
