The first three contestants thought to be starring in the next series of Strictly Come Dancing have been revealed during a Good Morning Britain blunder.

Appearing on the ITV breakfast show to confirm that the first few 2019 Strictly stars are set to be announced during tonight’s episode of The One Show, Ian Lee let the anticipated info slip early.

Speaking to GMB hosts Kate Garraway and Ben Shepherd, former I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! contestant Ian said: ‘They are going to announce the first three contestants tonight on The One Show.’

The 46-year-old media star then went on to seemingly confirm that football manager Sam Allardyce, Made In Chelsea’s Jamie Laing and presenter Anneka Rice are among the line up for the BBC dance contest.

He added: ‘It's supposed to be Sam Allardyce, Anneka Rice and Jamie Laing.’

Interjecting, Ben piped up: ‘Hang on, they're supposed to be announcing later and you've already announced it.’

Acting shocked, Ian laughed: ‘Sorry One Show!’
