  • Actress Kim Cattrall has shared the devastating news that her brother Chris, 55, has passed away, just hours after appealing for help after he had gone missing.

    The 61-year-old star posted on Sunday 3rd February asking for people to help locate her brother, who had gone missing from his home in Alberta, Canada, leaving behind his keys, wallet, phone, and seven dogs.

    Kim revealed that Chris had been missing for five days, from 30th January.

    On Instagram, Kim shared a picture of her brother, writing, “This is not like Chris. He would never leave his unlocked home without those items nor his 7 beloved dogs.”

    She finished the post, writing, “He’s a one of a kind brother. Help us bring him home safe. Please spread the world. Many thanks for reading this.”

    But heartbreakingly, Kim updated her followers on Monday morning by sharing the devastating news that her brother had passed away.

    On her social media, she wrote, “It is with great sadness that myself and my family announce the unexpected passing of our son and brother, Chris Cattrall.

    “At this time we ask for privacy but we want to thank you all on social media for your outpouring of love and support in this trying time.”

    The circumstances surrounding his death have not yet been revealed.

    However, a spokesperson for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police has said that they aren’t treating his death as suspicious.

    Kim’s parents, Gladys and Dennis, also have two other children, Lisa and Cherry.

    Fans were quick to send their love to the heartbroken star, commenting on her post.

    One fan wrote, “So, so sorry to hear this Kim. The whole of Liverpool is sending you their love tonight”, while another said, “Sending love and prayers for strength. So sorry for your loss.❤“.
