Kate Silverton reveals she's back to her 'pre-baby' weight due to Strictly training

The gruelling, intense training schedule celebrities go through whilst on Strictly Come Dancing is well documented.

But for one contestant this year, it looks as though the hard work is paying off in more areas than just her dancing skills.

On Lorraine on Wednesday, Kate Silverton revealed that she's lost so much weight, she's now able to fit back into her wedding dress, which she wore on her big day eight years ago, back in 2010.

Talking about the day she slipped back into her gown, she told Lorraine, “Yes. I had a very gleeful day."

She also revealed that she now weighs about the same as she did before she had her two children, Wilbur, four, and Clemency, seven.

Kate confessed, "[It's] my pre-baby weight, really. I’m absolutely thrilled. I feel like I’ve won already. We’ve had such a good time. I don’t want it to end at all.” We're not surprised Kate!

Previously, the 48-year-old revealed to The Mirror that she's shed almost a stone throughout the nine weeks of Strictly training so far, thanks to her professional partner, Aljaz Skorjanec, working her hard to prepare for Saturday nights.

She admitted, "I think I've lost a stone already, it's the Aljaz school of weight loss,

"And my husband is very happy about that… nudge nudge! I feel liberated too! I was looking at my thighs today and I'm getting so much definition. The costume team have already had to take my dresses in twice."

But BBC presenter Kate isn't the only celebrity contestant feeling the benefits of being on the hit dance show.

Cricketer Graeme Swann, who was in the dance-off last week, confirmed to Zoe Ball on It Takes Two that he has lost an incredible amount of weight since joining the show - two and a half stone in fact.

After Zoe congratulated him, Graeme said, "Thank you. Yeah, two and a half now."

While his partner Oti Mabuse said, "It's the treadmills,"

Graeme previously joked that his wife Sarah actually encouraged him to lose weight before he went on the show. He told the Mirror, “She bought me a pair of running trainers before. She said, ‘Right, you can get fit, you’re not going on the telly all chubby’.

“I suppose she would be pleased, if I ever saw her!"
