Wedding Planners Share Their Worst Bridezilla Horror Stories

If you’ve ever been a bride, mother-of-the-bride, bridesmaid or even wedding guest (that’s all of us then), you’ll know planning a big day can be more than just a little bit stressful. However, there’s a difference between a busy bride-to-be and a bonafide bridezilla. In a new thread on social media network Reddit, wedding planners have shared their worst ever bridezilla (and mumzilla) stories – and it makes for pretty unbelievable reading. Keep scrolling to read the ten worst tales we’ve seen.

“At a wedding I went to the bride replaced a bridesmaid of hers at the
last minute because she dyed her hair a slightly lighter brown the night
before. Apparently it didn’t match the dress, which was bright pink.”

“I worked in tuxedos for a long time. One day a woman comes in frantic beacuse we ‘ruined’ her son’s wedding. She shows us pictures and says ‘the sleeves of the jackets were a quarter inch too long!’ And that’s it, that’s the only issue, but the wedding was ruined because of it.” (Posted by loritree)

“I work for a wedding dress store, and I have a bride who has 15 bridesmaids and at least 10 flower girls.” (Posted by Argentis)

“I make custom, one-of-a-kind wedding dresses. A girl asked me if I would send her an $1800 dress for free because ‘I’m really pretty and I’ll send you pictures of me wearing it at an event.'” (Posted by Deconstructress)

“A bride once called having a melt down because her friend got engaged as well and was planning to get married in the same year as she was… Apparently it was her special year and not just a day. She threw a huge fit that this girl was only getting married to “steal her thunder”… Yes, because no one else can have a life at the same time as you.” (Posted by sillykitty1990)

“I attended the wedding of a family friend’s daughter. When we went into the reception, we were expecting a buffet or something to be set up, but there was nothing. After an hour, people were really hungry and some people started to leave. When the bride found out, she ran across the room in her dress and blocked the doors, screaming about how everyone is ruining her wedding and screaming ‘Bride’s Day, Bride’s Way!'” (Posted by bemo12)

But, the award for the worst bridezilla horror story of all time goes to this one:

“I had a friend that threw a temper tantrum, complete with screaming and foot stomping, because her grandmother had the audacity to die a few hours before her wedding. She said it would throw off the seating arrangements, because now there would be a big empty space. She is currently half way through her second divorce.” (Posted by kidtendomom)
