The UK's first charity advent calendar is here and behind every door is festive feel-good vibes
We just love this idea!

‘Tis the season for giving and the UK’s first charity advent calendar helps you to give more this Christmas.
Advent of Change has launched the UK’s first charity advent calendar where, instead of receiving something each day, you give something.
Behind each door you’ll find a 50p donation to a different charity each day. Whether it’s offering shelter to a homeless person or helping to provide life-changing medicine for a sick child, each charity has been selected for its contribution to communities across the UK and around the world.
SHOP NOW: Advent Calendar, £16.95 from adventofchange.com and Waitrose stores nationwide
The calendar is part of a range of charity advent calenders by Advent of Change that also includes The Premium Charity Advent Calendar, which donates £1 to 24 different national and international charities in the countdown to Christmas.
SHOP NOW: Premium Advent Calendar, £29.95 from adventofchange.com and John Lewis & Partners stores nationwide and online.
There is also a Children’s Charity Advent Calendar which donates 50p to 24 age-appropriate charities for children. Opening each door educates and entertains younger children, making it a great alternative to chocolate advent calendars. The enterprise has also launched a free programme for schools featuring resources on each charity to bring the product to life in the classroom.

And to keep the great feeling of giving going year round, The World-Changer Wall Calendar donates to 12 charities for every month of 2020 as you plan the weeks and months ahead.
Each month features the work each charity does, as well as an explanation of the cause and a related challenge to support each charity. For example, it is predicted that by 2050 there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish. One of the monthly challenges in the The World Changer Wall Calendar challenges you to use no disposable plastic for one day to help reduce your plastic waste.
We think this might be one of those occasions where we can actually justifying buying more than one advent calender...
