Strictly star Oti Mabuse has revealed that she's embarking on her first solo tour across the UK.

The tour, named I Am Here, will consist of 50 shows throughout the UK, starting on 16th April 2021.

What has Oti Mabuse said about the tour?

Speaking of her excitement, reigning Strictly champion Oti said, “It’s like a dream come true to be announcing my first ever tour.

"Performing on stage is something I feel so passionately about, and I can’t wait to get out on the road and share my story with you all”.

I Am Here - which is the translation of Oti's name in the language Setswana, spoken in South Africa - will show Oti's journey from growing up in South Africa to following her dream of professional dancing.

A group of performers will join Mabuse on stage for each show, including talent from London’s West End, to put on a show encompassing a range of dance styles including jive, samba and traditional South African dance.

Tickets for her tour are on sale from today via Oti's website - www.otimabuse.com.

It's been a great year for Oti, as she won the glitterball trophy last year with actor Kelvin Fletcher.

She's also been announced as the new host for the hit CBeebies show, Boogie Beebies.

The series has been filmed from Oti's living room during lockdown and will see her teach a new dance every day for children.

Speaking on This Morning today, Oti admitted she's not sure whether Strictly will return this year amid the COVID-19 pandemic - but says the crew are doing all they can to make sure it happens.

"We're all just waiting. The more the government tells us what to do, the more things that we can be hopeful about," Oti said.

"Production and producers are really doing whatever they can to make sure that it comes back. The priority is that everyone is safe."
