Ivanka Trump has revealed she's 'heartbroken' by the death of her mother, Ivana, taking to social media to pay tribute to the late Czech-American businesswoman with a sweet family photo.

Donald Trump's eldest daughter has shared her grief over the loss of the 73-year-old, who was found dead at her New York City apartment on Thursday.

Ivanka took to Twitter to reveal she's 'heartbroken' by the news, hailing her 'mom' as 'brilliant, charming, passionate and wickedly funny' in the solemn post.

The 40-year-old added that Ivana "lived life to the fullest" and never missed "an opportunity to laugh and dance", before signing off with the poignant note, "I will miss her forever and will keep her memory alive in our hearts always." She also shared a touching childhood photo of her and her mother, with whom she reportedly always shared a strong bond.

Former President Donald Trump was the first to announce the death of Ivana, to whom he was married from 1977 to 1992, on his Truth Social platform yesterday.

“I am very saddened to inform all of those that loved her, of which there are many, that Ivana Trump has passed away at her home in New York City,” the 76-year-old wrote. “She was a wonderful, beautiful, and amazing woman, who led a great and inspirational life.”

Trump went to call their three children, Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric, Ivana's "pride and joy."

"She was so proud of them, as we were all so proud of her," he added. "Rest In Peace, Ivana!”

The cause of Ivana Trump's death remains unknown, but reports that she may have suffered from cardiac arrest after falling down the stairs at her Manhattan home have been circulating ever since the tragic news broke. The former professional skier's best friend, Nikki Haskell, also told the New York Post that she had been due to fly to St. Tropez on her first vacation abroad since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
