Ewan McGregor's 22-year marriage to Eve Mavrakis was thought to be one of the strongest unions in Hollywood.
But all that changed last year when the Scottish actor moved out the LA home he shared with his family and went public with his new romance to 33-year-old Fargo co-star Mary Elizabeth Winstead.
The shock break up sent shockwaves through Tinsletown and according to The Sun, friends of Eve revealed that she felt "heartbroken, sick and furious" over the split.
A source speaking to the same paper at the time added, "She is doing her best to handle it with dignity. But what makes it worse is she has been told Mary Elizabeth had a teenage crush on Ewan. I'm sure a lot of people did but they didn't go and have an affair with him."
And now it's been suggested that a new song penned by Ewan and Eve's 15-year-old daughter Esther McGregor could hint at her own feelings towards her father's new girlfriend.
Esther shared a video of her singing Made You A Man on Instagram, singing lyrics including "Seeing those pictures, they're making me cry" - thought to reference a picture of her dad kissing his new love.
Pouring her heart out in the emotive tune Esther references "s*** she found online" and tellingly adds, "I don't know to forgive. I don't know if I can. Ruining me."
Esther also continues, "Happy birthday to me, am I right?" - thought to be a reference to The Sun first publishing pictures of the kiss on October 22nd - her birthday.
Earlier this month Star Wars and Trainspotting star sat side-by-side with Mary at the Critics' Choice Awards in Santa Monica, California.
Accepting the Best Actor in a limited series gong for Fargo - a show in which he and Mary were cast as lovers - Ewan shocked the audience by thanking both Mary AND his estranged wife, saying, "I want to take a moment to say thank you to Eve. Who always stood by me for 22 years. To my four children, Clara, Ester, Jamyan and Anouk, I love you."
Continuing he added, "There would be no Ray without Mary Elizabeth Winstead. So thank you very much."
Unimpressed, production designer Eve labelled his comments "upsetting", adding, "I did not like his speech. I'm trying to make the best of it."
