Desperate for a post-lockdown getaway? Travel the beautiful waters of Italy with confidence with Riviera Travel - from just £919
They have some solid Covid-19 safety policies in place...
Let's face it - we've all been cooped up in our homes (and the surrounding areas), for so long now, that a sunny break to a beautiful part of the world was starting to feel like a pipe-dream - or at the very least, a distant memory.
But all hope is not lost, because thankfully Riviera Travel have finally kickstarted their escorted tours to the stunning European country of Italy for 2020.
The company specialise in river cruises and escorted trips, which we reckon sounds like the perfect way to explore another country - finally.

With a Riviera Travel getaway, you'll enjoy highlights such as the best architecture there is to offer, as well as gastronomical delights that other tourists just don't know about. They'll also take you to the best spots for culture, art and history, to enjoy the country off the beaten track. Trips can also be personalised, so you get as much out of it as possible.
Of course, it's been a worrying time, and some of us still understandably feel nervous about returning to travel.
So to help us feel more comfortable with the possibility of travelling to the gloriously warm shores of Italy, Riviera Travel actually sent some of their own staff their to test their strict Covid-19 policies.
How will Riviera Travel keep me - and my money - safe on a trip in light of Covid-19?
Riviera's chief commercial officer, Jim Forward said, "I wanted to be personally reassured and so put this to the test, taking a team of Riviera staff - from Operations, Health & Safety, Customer Service and the Agency Sales team - to inspect hotels and visit attractions in Lake Como, Venice, Verona and Lake Garda."
Sharing some unexpected positive of a holiday during this time, he continued, "We concluded that those arriving in Italy will have a great time, with a richer and more personal holiday experience. With fewer people you get the opportunity for a more intimate exploration of normally busy tourist hot spots, plus a warm welcome from hotels, bars and restaurants – seeing St Mark’s Square in Venice without the crowds is really special.
"You are temperature tested entering hotels and other facilities, and hand sanitiser is everywhere. Just as in the UK, you cover your face on public transport and in enclosed spaces. The new processes are sound and I felt safe."
There's no denying that travel plans are subject to change during these unprecedented times, so Riviera Travel have set in place some assurances for customers that will help you to travel confidently, too.

For those worried about last-minute travel changes, you can changeyour booking for free until 45 days before travel - and better still, if you can't travel due to the Covid-19pandemic (illness or quarantine rules change for example), they can transfer your holiday to a later date completely free of charge.
If you have to cut your holiday short as a direct consequence of the pandemic and are not covered by insurance, you will also automatically be compensated for the portion of your holiday that you have missed, too.
They've also got a brilliantly handy 'happy in every sense or your money back' policy too – if you aren't happy with your holiday by day two, Riviera Travel will bring you home at no extra charge, and offer a full refund. It doesn't get much better than that!
So what are you waiting for? We've all learnt recently that there's no better time than the present to start doing the things you really want to do, after all...
