Holiday deals company Travelzoo have revealed the most popular destination searched for by Brits on their website.

Almost nine million people visit travelzoo.com each month, and for the last 18 months one destination has consistently come out on top in terms of number of searches: Greece.

The European country has been the most-searched-for destination on Travelzoo’s UK site since 2018, pipping Spain, Italy and even the Caribbean to the post. "Greece is known for the breath-taking landscapes, crystal Greek beaches and beach taverns," explains James Clarke, the General Manager of Travelzoo UK. "Visitors are able to experience its serenity, enjoy the popular Mediterranean diet, soak in the rich history and enjoy its warm hospitality. Greece’s easy access and regular sunshine makes it a top pick for any tourist."

Travelzoo ran more than 90 different deals in Greece last year, and have so far offered almost 50 for 2019, including this incredible all-inclusive week in Corfu for less than £500.

The most popular places within Greece, Travelzoo told us, are Rhodes, Corfu, Crete and mainland Halkidiki, and they regularly have amazing deals across these gorgeous holiday destinations.
