Catherine, Princess of Wales shared a very relatable parenting moment during the Royal Family’s Christmas walkabout at Sandringham. When asked by a fan if she was having a good Christmas, Kate answered that she was, but she’d had an “early start” – no doubt thanks to three excitable children waiting to see if Santa had visited.

- When asked how her day was going, Kate joked that she was having a “lovely” time – despite having a “very early start” thanks to her three children
- In other royal news, Princess Anne didn't join her family on Christmas, but for good reason
It turns out that being a princess doesn’t even guarantee a relaxing, restful Christmas. Just ask Catherine, Princess of Wales.
While joining the rest of the Royal Family on their first Sandringham walkabout in three years, Kate, who wore a stunning pair of Sezane earrings, thought to be a gift from William, revealed that she’d had quite the tiring start to the day thanks to her three children.
An experience shared by parents the world over, no doubt.
The Princess of Wales told a young fan that she was having a “lovely” Christmas with her children who “got lots of lovely things” – but she then jokingly added that she’d had “quite an early start” to the day.
Moms and dads will definitely understand just what she meant by that, with young children waking up at the crack of dawn to see if Santa had visited.
Christmas is still an exciting time at home for the Prince and Princess of Wales, with their three children still young and enchanted by the magic of Father Christmas and more.
Prince George is nine, Princess Charlotte is seven, and their youngest, the cheeky Louis is just four years old.
All three children joined their parents and their grandfather, King Charles, for the Christmas Day service at Sandringham. It was Louis’ first time, and the adorable youngster was seen running back and forth, excited to be given presents by fans in the crowd and playing with Princess Beatrice’s stepson, Wolfie.
In a short clip shared after their walkabout, Kate can be seen approaching a little girl, named India, and thanking her as she handed the Princess of Wales a bouquet of flowers.
Kate touchingly asked India, “Have you had a nice morning, has Father Christmas been?", to which India replied “Yes, have you?
Kate answered that she’d “had a lovely morning, thank you very much. I had quite an early start this morning.” Another member of the public jumped into the conversation and can be heard asking, “Did the children get lots of nice things?
The Princess responded, “they got lots of lovely things”, before moving along to greet even more well-wishers.
While the children got lovely things, it would appear that Catherine was treated by someone too.
She was seen sporting a stunning pair of brass earrings from one of her favorite brands, Sezane.
It’s thought she loves the brand’s commitment to sustainability, as they use eco-friendly materials and support social and environmental causes.
This particular pair, seen underneath her feathered hat – believed to be a bespoke Philip Treacy – are reportedly a Christmas gift from William.
