The special milestone Princess Eugenie will mark while pregnant

Princess Eugenie will celebrate an important milestone while pregnant with her first child.

What will Princess Eugenie be celebrating?

On 12 October, Eugenie and Jack will celebrate their second wedding anniversary.

They married at St George's chapel at Windsor Castle just months after Meghan Markle and Prince Harry tied the knot in the same venue.

Last year, on their first wedding anniversary, Princess Eugenie shared a sweet clip of their wedding day on Instagram.

She wrote, "This was the greatest day of my life...forever and always! Happy one year anniversary, my Jack!"

Eugenie’s mum, Sarah, Duchess of York, was one of the first to congratulate the couple on their pregnancy news.

She said: "I am so excited by the news that Eugenie and Jack are expecting their first child.

”Thrilled for them both and in my 60th year cannot wait to be a grandmother.

“Welcoming a new baby into the York family is going to be a moment of profound joy."

Princess Eugenie and Jack have many royal traditions to think about before the arrival of their child.

Traditionally the Queen is the first to be told about the birth of a royal baby, before an easel is erected outsideBuckingham Palacewith an official announcement to the public.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, however, went against royal tradition after the birth of their son Archie last year and announced his arrival on Instagram.

Similarly, royal tradition suggests a baby of royal descent is usually christened in a private baptism – but Eugenie herself had a public christening.

We can't wait to see what they decide!
