Kaye Adams shares heartbreaking news with fans
Loose Women panellist Kaye Adams has shared the devastating news that her mother, Cathie, has passed away.
The 55-year-old presenter and journalist revealed the sad news on her social media, sharing that her mum had died on 29th July.
Within the message, Kaye also thanked the staff at NHS Forth Valley hospital, for looking after her mother when she was ill.
She said, 'We are forever indebted to the wonderful staff of Ward A22 @NHSForthValley who cared for our mum Cathie before she passed away on July 29th.
'They gave us comfort at a time of desolation and, for that, we are grateful.'
Fans hurried to send messages of condolences to Kaye and all of her family. One wrote, 'Thinking of you @kayeadams and family so sorry for your loss xx', and another said, 'Oh Kaye, I am so sad to hear that your beloved mother passed away. I hope you are surrounded by love during this incredibly sad time. May your sweet mother rest in peace.'
Kaye's fellow former Loose Women panellist Sherrie Hewson also said how she was 'sending love' during this difficult time.

It's not clear how Kaye's mother passed away, but the presenter has opened up about Cathie's illness in the past before.
In a candid, emotional video filmed last summer, the Loose Women star revealed that she had been looking after her mother in hospital for some time.
She told fans, 'It’s been a funny old summer where the kids have been pretty much been looking after themselves while I’ve been looking after my mum along with my brother – who has been amazing.
“She has been in hospital for nine weeks now and it’s been pretty all consuming.”
The presenter went on to discuss her disappointment at the topic of ageing parents not being talked about enough.
Kaye said, “Really not looking for sympathy or complaining, but with so many of us in the same situation why do you think there’s so little discussion around it?”
It's been an undeniably tough few years for Kaye, as her mother's death follows another heartbreaking loss - that of her father, in February 2017.
The Loose Women panellist revealed in a Facebook post at the time that her dad Duncan had passed away suddenly.

In an emotional message, she wrote, 'He has left an enormous chasm in our family structure.
'The finest of men, he loved life and he loved us – always ready to laugh, never afraid to cry and full of wit, wisdom and kindness.
'I shall miss him more than words can say and if you see me on TV or radio ‘being me’ , don’t be fooled. I will be ‘being me’ with a broken heart.'
Our thoughts are with Kaye and her family at this difficult time.
