Use whatever chutney or pickle is available at your local market – just make sure it will complement your choice of ham
- 8 slices white bread
- goats' butter, softened
- 4 slices lean ham
- 4tbsp pickle or tomato chutney
Spread the slices of bread with softened goats' butter (you'll need about a tablespoon in total) and lay a slice of lean ham on top of four of the slices. Spread a tablespoon of pickle or tomato chutney on each of the other four slices and lay them on top of the ham. Cut in half and serve straight away.
