If you tune in to Graham Norton this evening on BBC One, you'll hear first hand from guest Helen Mirren about her latest projects, new movie Hitchcock and forthcoming play The Audience, which opens a fortnight today at London's Gielgud Theatre.
The play, which will run to 15 June, will see w&h cover star Helen play Her Majesty The Queen and is based on the private audiences The Queen has held with all the Prime Ministers during her reign.
Talking to woman&home about the role, Helen said: "The Queen has seen it all, she's been right there at so many key moments in history of the past 60 years and has met each of her 12 Prime Ministers weekly. She's in the most extraordinary position - she's politically powerless, and yet she has a powerful role to play. That is a fascinating subject for a play."
If, like us, you're dying to see the play, we'd recommend booking quickly! Either call 0844 482 5166 or visit theaudienceplay.com
