With the TV star back at work and her three children back at school it’s no surprise she’s keen to spend as much quality time with them as possible over the weekend.
And the kids will no doubt be delighted that their weekend plans involve lots of cake.
Sharing a rare glimpse of life at home on Saturday, Holly posted a picture of several multi-coloured cake batters on Instagram.
She captioned the shot, “Rainbow cake incoming.”
Fans went wild over the post, warning Holly that a rainbow cake can take a lot of effort.
“Good luck with that one,” wrote one online user. While another said, “Did this with my granddaughter, lovely, but so fiddly.”
Even Holly’s famous pals, including TV’s Angela Scanlon chimed in. “Nice!!! Haven’t mastered this unicorn concoction,” she said.
It’s not the first time Holly, 39, has posted about spending quality time with her three children, Harry, 11, Belle, nine, and Chester, five.
The star has been open about feeling “riddled with guilt” for missing key milestones because of her gruelling work schedule.
Opening up about being a working mum, Holly said, “Becoming a mum was the only thing I knew I definitely wanted when I was growing up, but the image I had never involved me being a working mum. That’s the biggest challenge.
“I’ve been riddled with guilt about getting that part wrong. You love them so much and you don’t want to mess them up.”
With her presenting This Morning every day with Philip Schofield, Holly was unable to drop them off for their first day of school. And it’s something she still thinks about.
“I didn’t do the drop-off because I was working,” she confessed. "I hate that I wasn’t there because those memories you can’t get back."
Thankfully Holly should now have more control over her work commitments after she cut ties with the talent agency she’d been working with for 13 years in a bid to start her own.
According to The Sun Online, an insider confirmed Holly spent lockdown reflecting on her hugely successful career so far and decided it was time for a change.
A source revealed, “Lockdown has given her time to reflect and think about her future.
“In many ways, it has become the perfect opportunity to start afresh and it was just time for a change.
“She is really excited about managing herself and having more say over decisions on a day-to-day basis.”
