A look inside Gisburne Park Pop Up - the world’s first ever socially-distanced festival for all ages

Gisburne Park Pop Up is the first festival of its kind - could it be the summer event you've been waiting for?
While Glastonbury weekend came and went while watching the highlights from our sofas, and sipping champagne at the Henley Regatta or Royal Ascot has been well and truly off the cards, there is some hope of enjoying a festival this summer.
And as much as we applaud the efforts of organisers bringing their events to us virtually, we mean a real-life, in-the-flesh festival experience. But not like we’ve ever seen before.
Gisburne Park is a new pop-up festival built in the time of corona. And while it’s a world away from the usual festival experience - think a capacity of just 480 people and drinks delivered to your tent - it’s still got the hallmarks of a truly great festival experience.
Jonas Blue, The Shapeshifters and Sam Divine lead the musical line-up, while events include socially-distanced dining, movie nights and a pub-in-the-park experience, all against the backdrop of the stunning Lancashire countryside.

The Gisburne Park Pop Up is running for eight weeks from 11 July to 30 August, with a packed programme of entertainment. You can find out more here.

Guests can book a spot for up to six within a social bubble to camp together. There will also be hexagonal seating areas to enjoy food and drink outside, while watching performers.
These camping and seating areas are spaced 2.6 meters apart in order to observe social-distancing guidelines. Guests can make their way around the 10-acre site with a minimum of 2 meters between themselves and other festival-goers.
Robyn Isherwood, events director of Gisburne Park Pop-Up, said, “After a summer of cancelled events, we wanted to deliver a unique, safe experience for people to enjoy outdoors with the Gisburne Park Pop-Up festival.
