So sweet!

Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla made a triumphant return on day two of Royal Ascot, and proved they're just like the rest of us during a rare candid moment.

We're used to seeing members of the royal family looking put together and pristine during royal engagements, but Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall put on a rare display of normality at Royal Ascot on Wednesday.

The couple made a glamorous appearance at the scaled-back horse-racing event alongside the likes of Zara Tindall, Prince Edward and Princess Anne.

And while most people attending Royal Ascot were worrying over their outfits or whether their horse was winning, Prince Charles and Camilla spent a lot of time fussing over their face masks.

In pictures taken at the event, royal fans can see Prince Charles helping his wife, Camilla, with her own face mask—which stylishly matched her sherbet lemon outfit—before struggling with his own, proving even royals struggle with face mask mishaps.

We've been wearing reusable face masks for over a year now as the COVID-19 global pandemic continues but the 18 months of practise hasn't taken away from the fact they're fairly uncomfortable to wear and difficult to get on and off—particularly in hot weather.

What's funnier is Prince Charles and Camilla's face mask mishap at day two of Royal Ascot 2021 isn't the first time we've seen the royals get caught in a muddle with their masks.

The future King—who has big plans for the royal family when he takes over from the Queen, including downsizing from Buckingham Palace and streamlining the monarchy—suffered a similar battle during a visit to the Mini Factory earlier this month.

The Queen is yet to make an appearance at Royal Ascot 2021, but there is still time for her Majesty to attend the popular event and we're all wondering what hat she'll opt for if she does of course attend.
