On HeirPod, a royal podcast hosted by Omid Scobie,  ABC News producer Zoe Magee discussed with the host how members of the royal family are continuing to pay tribute to the Duke of Edinburgh’s memory.

Zoe revealed in the podcast that Duchess Camilla has been visiting one of the last regiments that Prince Philip visited. She said, “The Duchess of Cornwall was fulfilling a duty related to Prince Philip. One of the last times we saw Prince Philip publicly was when he handed over colonelship of The Rifles. So Camilla was out visiting that regiment in what has actually been quite a busy week."

The Duchess was recently photographed on her Instagram with the 5th Battalion The Rifles. Last year the Duchess of Cornwall was appointed with the military title of Colonel-in-Chief and this recent trip to the 5th Battalion marked her first visit as Colonel-in-Chief.

Omid Scobie then revealed that this military role was particularly important to Camilla because of her connection with the Duke of Edinburgh.

He said, "After the royal mourning period, a lot of the engagements that were stacked up during that time are taking place now. The military role that Camilla took on in July 2020 came after Prince Philip had retired. It was a position he had held since The Rifles was formed in 2007. We don't really see Camilla taking on military roles. However, I think it's one that she took on with pride."

Omid continued to say, "Of course, we know that she had a close relationship with the Duke of Edinburgh. So I think to see both Charles and Camilla out this week continuing that effort to remember Philip's life, work and legacy are great. I think we'll see a lot more of that from members of the Royal Family over the weeks and months ahead."

The host then revealed, "I don't think that that period is over when it comes to remembering the Duke's life."

Since Prince Philip's death, his family has paid tribute to his memory. Prince William and Kate Middleton honored Prince Philip with touching photograph and Princess Eugenie shared a heartbreaking tribute. Recently, Prince Charles has thanked royal fans for their condolences with rare childhood photo of him with Prince Philip
