Stanley Tucci, star of The Devil wears Prada and The Hunger Games franchise, opened up about his grief when he was widowed 12 years ago when his wife passed away after a battle with breast cancer in 2009.
In a CBS Sunday Morning interview, Holly Williams spoke to Stanley Tucci about his personal life and the grief he experienced following his wife’s death.
In the interview that took place at the end of 2020, the actor revealed, “you never stop grieving, and it’s still hard after 11 years and it will always be hard.”

He continued, saying that his late wife would have wanted Stanley to move on from her passing and not feel grief-stricken all the time. He stated, "you can't let it — and she would never want any of us — to wallow in that grief and let it take over our lives, she wouldn't want that, she wasn't like that."
The Oscar-nominated actor was married to Kathryn Spath-Tucci, known to her friends as Kate, in 1995, and the two had three children together, twins Nicolo and Isabel, 21, and Camilla, 19. Kate was 49 when she died.
Since her passing, Stanley has managed to love again and discussed his relationship with his current wife, Felicity Blunt. Felicity is the older sister to Emily Blunt, who co-starred with Stanley in The Devil Wears Prada.
Stanley now lives in Barnes, London, with his wife Felicity and their two young children born in 2015 and 2018.
Stanley also discussed the attention he received last year during the lockdown when a video of him mixing a drink for his wife went viral. When asked why Stanley thought his cocktail mixing videos were so popular, he said, “I have no idea. No, honestly, I don’t.”
It seems that Tucci was unaware that many people found these videos quite attractive. Even the interviewer labeled them as “sultry.” Stanley laughed it off and stated that he was flattered by the attention and said it felt nice to have people go “gaga” over him.
