Kim Cattrall just liked a tweet that suggested the Sex and the City reboot, And Just Like That is 'trash' and Kim was wise to stay away from the controversial revival show.

Kim Cattrall refused to return as Samantha Jones in the Sex and the City reboot, And Just Like That. When the real reason why Samantha wouldn't be returning to And Just Like That was revealed, fans were devastated that a falling out could lead to such a vital character being written out of the show.

However, as the reboot has begun to air, there has been more and more controversy surrounding the show. From Carrie Bradshaw's 'gross' accessory that disappointed fans, and Miranda Hobbes' controversial character storyline, to Chris Noth's sexual allegations, the show has been riddled with controversy both on and off-screen.

It is therefore not a huge shock that the Samantha actress feels lucky to have stayed away from this dramatic series and instead Kim joined the cast of How I Met Your Mother spin-off show, How I met Your Father.

Kim liked a tweet from a fan that highlighted this exact sentiment. The tweet read, "So proud of @KimCattrall for skipping the trashy S&TC reboot and doing @HIMYFonHulu. She’s wonderful, and so is @HilaryDuff If you have 48 minutes to spare, go ahead and watch the first two episodes…I may even rewatch them before next week. Challenge accepted!"

Other Sex and the City fans agreed and added, "Bang on. More people (especially women) should be celebrating @KimCattrall for standing by her choice and refusing something that won't bring her joy."

However, some felt that the word 'trashy' was a harsh description. "Was it needed to call it trashy? The content is no trashier than the original. While I liked the character of S. Jones in the original, I am not missing her. The current cast are carrying the show just fine. It is not necessary to put one thing down in order to celebrate another," said one fan.

This isn't the first tweet that Kim has liked shading the show. Fans discovered how Kim really feels about the Sex and the City reboot after the actress liked a tweet saying, “And just like that… I find myself only wanting to watch anything @KimCattrall is in. This is a Kim appreciation tweet."

Despite the feud between Kim and the rest of the old Sex and the City main cast, there are still rumors and hopes from the directors of And Just Like That, that Kim will be back for Sex and the City spin-off
