They both celebrated last night as they picked up Golden Globes for their performances in Netflix show the Crown.

While actresses Gillian Anderson and Emma Corrin also took the opportunity to comment on Prince Harry’s thoughts about the show.

When interviewed on The Late Late Show James Corden quizzed Harry about his opinions on the Crown - the drama which depicts the lives and loves of the royal family.

During the interview, James Corden asked Prince Harry what his thoughts were on the Netflix show, with Harry commenting that at least the show doesn’t ‘pretend to be news’.

“It’s fictional, but it’s loosely based on the truth. Of course, it’s not strictly accurate, but loosely… it gives you a rough idea about that lifestyle, what the pressures of putting duty and service above family and everything else, what can come from that, the royal said.

While, in comparison, Harry went on to comment about his and Meghan’s treatment in the press: “I’m way more comfortable with The Crown than I am seeing the stories written about my family or my wife or myself.

"Because it’s the difference between, ‘That is obviously fiction, take it how you will,’ but this is being reported on as fact because you’re supposedly news. I have a real issue with that.”

Emma said at a virtual backstage press briefing: “I was very moved by the fact that he acknowledged it. I’m incredibly grateful to him and incredibly moved by what he said.”

While Gillian added: “Harry is fairly well qualified to judge what is fact or fiction. He’s understood what (the writer and creator) Peter (Morgan) is trying to do on The Crown.”

Both actresses looked stunning at last night's virtual awards - with Gillian, who won best supporting actress, wearing a Dior number and Emma, who won best actress for her portrayal as Princess Diana in the Crown, wearing a Mui Mui dress.
