Everything you need to know about Golden Globes 2021

Golden Globes 2021 date

The 2021 Golden Globes ceremony was due to take place earlier in the year, however, due to the ongoing global coronavirus pandemic, it has had to be postponed.

It is now due to go ahead on the evening of Sunday, February 28th.

Will the Golden Globes 2021 have a red carpet?

Unlike usual awards shows, the 2021 Golden Globes will not have a typical red carpet as all of the nominees and usual attendees will be watching and taking part in the ceremony from home.

However, the official 2021 Golden Globe Awards pre-show will stream live from the @GoldenGlobes Twitter account and will also show online at goldenglobes.com an hour and a half before the ceremony begins - 6.30pm EST/3.30pm PT.

The pre-show is expected to show video interviews with nominees, pundits discussions, and perhaps a few throwbacks to our favorite red carpet moments.

NBC will also be airing a Golden Globes Pre-Show, hosted by Glee’s Jane Lynch and This Is Us’s Susan Kelechi Watson - this will begin at 7pm EST/4pm PST.

Who's hosting the Golden Globes 2021?

For the fourth year in a row, comediennes Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will be hosting the awards ceremony - however, there will be a slight change to how things are running this year.

While Amy Poehler will be broadcasting from the awards’ usual location, the Los Angeles Beverly Hilton, Tina Fey, will be hosting from the Rainbow Room in New York City.

And the stream of presenters will be split between the two locations as they introduce nominees for each category.
