We all love treating ourselves to the best scented candle, just preferably one that won't burn your house down.

Gwyneth Paltrow's infamous vagina scented candle has reportedly exploded in a fan's home and nearly burnt her house down.

Jody Thompson, 50, won the candle through an online quiz and had enjoyed it in her home in Kilburn, North London until the unfortunate incident. She wrote on Instagram, 'Yeah, thanks Gwynnie, stuff your flaming vagina...'

Jody who lives with her partner David Snow, claimed that suddenly a huge flame shot from the candle, she claimed, ‘"I’ve never seen anything like it. The whole thing was ablaze and it was too hot to touch. There was an inferno in the room. We eventually got it under control and threw it out the front door.’

Luckily the media consultant wasn’t harmed and was even able to make light of the situation and even stated, ‘“It could have burned the place down. It was scary at the time, but funny looking back that Gwyneth’s vagina candle exploded in my living room.’

When the candle launched in January 2020 from Goop x Heretic, it quickly sold out and fans went wild for the fun new product from the lifestyle guru.

The candle is valued at $75 (£69) and is also available as a roll-on perfume valued at $45  and only available in the US. The site describes the vagina perfume as, ‘Before it was a (famous) candle, this sophisticated, sexy floral was born as a perfume; now it’s here in a chic, portable rollerball. Natural perfumer Douglas Little created the scent—cedarwood and bergamot absolutes juxtaposed with Damask rose and ambrette seed—to stir the senses toward the realms of fantasy and seduction.’

The range has a whole host of cheekily named scents, such as,  ‘this smells like my prenup’ and ‘this smells like my orgasm’.
