Dan Walker hits back at critics as he continues to be criticized for making it through yet another week of Strictly despite underperforming and disappointing fans.

Strictly Come Dancing 2021 continues to heat up as the contestants' dancing prowess impress fans and judges week on week. However, there is one contestant who has faced criticism from fans for their lack of improvement.

Dan Walker has once again been saved by the public despite failing to impress judges or many viewers. The BBC presenter danced the American Smooth with his partner Nadiya Bychkova and scored a 29, including a 4 from judge Craig Revel Horwood—the lowest score of the evening.

Despite his low-scoring performance, Dan Walker was saved by the public and has made it through to another week on the show. But not all viewers were happy with the public vote.

"If I’ve said it once I’ve said it a million times. Who the hell is voting for Dan Walker? #StrictlyComeDancing #strictly" said one annoyed fan on Twitter.

"Put simply, I just don't like Dan Walker nor his dancing. Quite how he's lasted this long compared with others is a quandary. #Strictly," said another.

"WHO is still voting for Dan Walker!? outstayed his welcome several weeks ago and is now getting to the point where much better dancers are going home instead of him #Strictly," said yet another fan.

Dan Walker took to social media to defend himself from those who were unimpressed by his performances. On Instagram, Dan posted an image of himself with his dance partner Nadiya and defended himself in the caption.

The caption of the post read, "Please don’t shout at me 😂 I’m having an amazing time, my kids are delighted & it’s only a TV show."

"For those asking, I don’t know who is voting for us (probably not Craig) but we’re incredibly thankful to anyone who is. See you tomorrow @nadiyabychkova and we’ll see the rest of you next week. Can’t wait 🕺🏼💃🏼"

This was a clear reference to one of the Strictly Come Dancing 2021 judges, Craig Revel Horwood who scored their dance a 4 out of 10.

Now there are just 7 contestants left in the Strictly competition and the Strictly Come Dancing 2021 final is fast approaching. The competition will continue until Saturday December 18, when the next winner of Stricly Come Dancing will be crowned.

Strictly will continue on Saturday, November 20, at 6.35pm.
