Alison Hammond’s floral Boden dress is the timeless, flattering style you'll wear again and again
The Bake Off is already serving up some serious style inspiration
While florals may not be groundbreaking, they always feel fresh and fun to wear, especially during the sunnier months, and Alison Hammond just showed us how joyful they can be with a botanical print dress from Boden.
The star shared some promo snaps for the upcoming series of The Great British Bake Off on Instagram, and while we are thrilled to see that our favourite cake-based series is making a return soon, it was actually Alison’s dress that really got us excited.
The presenter looked blooming gorgeous in the Kate Puffed Sleeve Shirt Dress by the British clothing brand, which featured a soft cream coloured base and a bright red and yellow petal-powered design. The dress is both classic and contemporary, and it’s one of those hero pieces that will sit well within any summer capsule wardrobe, ready to be worn for all kinds of plans. And it is still in stock in regular and petite lengths; you can find it along with some other garden-inspired designs below.

It's no surprise that Alison chose this dress - it's both fun and pretty and the belted middle adds definition and shape to the floaty fabric.
This petite piece will be ideal for shorter frames - just add simple flats and your best sunglasses.
A crisp cotton fabric means this one will be the answer when you are wondering what to wear in the heat. And, as with Alison's the belted middle adds definition.
This show-stopper is one of the best wedding guest dresses of the season and will wow with a clutch and strappy sandals.
It wasn't just Alison's outfit that grabbed our attention either, as new Bake Off judge Nigella Lawson also looked great in the pics and opted for an understated navy jumpsuit. It looks like the star was wearing a wide-leg, one-piece wonder by ME+EM, and it's currently in the sale.

The neat, fitted top combined with a belted waist and flared legs makes this one of the most flattering jumpsuits. Wear it with heeled ankle boots and your best trench coat for a polished feel.
A design covered with bold blooms like Alison's is a great piece to add to your closet, as it's a total classic that will work nicely for right now and for years to come. Florals are never far from the fashion spotlight, so you can rewear without any worries about it dating or going out of style.
A shirt dress is a versatile piece too, and you'll be able to switch up the aesthetic with your accessories. Add your best white trainers for a shopping trip, or finish with gold heels and a clutch for a party, or add ballet flats and a tote for a day at the office.
